Recently, Patty Murray (US Senator) spoke to a class at a highschool in Vancouver Washington. Here is what she had to say...with a few comments from me to help her...
Osama bin Laden has been very, very effective being we've got to ask, why is this man so popular around the world? Yes, he is effective...because he kills anyone who doesn't agree with him. And he is not popular around the world...he is popular in areas of high Muslim concentration who want to kill anyone who isn't a Muslim.
Why are people so supportive of him in many countries? He has been in many countries that are riddled with poverty. See above comments.
People don't have phones, no sewers, no roads, no schools, no health care, no facilities just to make sure their daily lives are OK. That's our fault, I suppose.
He's been out in these countries for decades building roads, building schools, building (a terror) infrastructure, building day care (weapon storage)facilities, building health care facilities ( and terrorist training facilities), and the people are extremely grateful(That they haven't been killed). It made their lives better (that they weren't killed is always better).
We have not done that (we haven't? We do it all of the time...does she live in the USA?). We haven't been out in many of these countries helping them build infrastructure. Instead we give them food and money and the means to build structures to house their people. We only give them a ton of humanitarian aid.
How would they look at us today if we had been there helping them (We have been there to help them...did we save Kuwaits ass? Did we save France's ass in WWII? Don't those country's pretty much hate us?) with some of that rather than just being the people who are going to bomb in Iraq and go to Afghanistan? Aren't we the people that rebuilds nations after we kick their asses in a war that they started?
This gal really needs to get her shit straight. Oh, and while we are at it...they reamed Trent Lott in the ass for his comments which were stupid. I don't hear a whole hell of a lot about this woman for her dumb assed comments that are almost anti-American. Why not?
