Spider-Man 2
All right, kids, it's time to get out there and see the new Spider-Man 2 movie. I am serving notice that if you do not see this movie, you are a dumb ass.
This movie rocks so much that you will be talking about it for days after you see it for the fourth time. And, you will see it four times - anything less is blasphemy!
How does it rock? Glad you asked.
First of all, Danny Elfman does the score for this movie, just as he did the first. Danny Elfman, formerly of Oingo Boingo, is one of the best movie composers today. If you don't like him, you are wrong and have no clue what good music is.
Besides the score, the cast of this movie is perfect. And, it doesn't hurt that Kirsten Dunst is a hottie-go-faster who goes braless and gets chilled, fairly often. Oh, and she is a pretty good actress, too.
Alfred Molina is perfect as Dr Octopus and J.K. Simmons (Jonah Jameson) steals every scene he is in. They need to get him on screen more. In fact, if there were any complaint I have about the whole movie it is that J.K. Simmons does not have a bigger role.
Other than that one complaint, the movie is perfect. For "True Believers" (comic geek), like me, the story was true to the comic book tales, focusing on the life of Peter Parker, who happens to be Spider-Man and has all sorts of shit to deal with.
For those who are not comic geeks like me, it still rocks. This movie has more good dialogue, plot and character development than any other action movie that I have ever seen. Add to that a romance (for the chicks) and absolutely cool fight scenes and you have yourself the coolest movie 'til Spider-Man 3 comes out in 2007.
This movie makes all other super hero movies (like Superman) look like crap! If you do not see this movie, you may as not see any other movie, ever. And if you do see this movie and do not like it, you suck ass - and not in the good way.
Spider-Man 2 is the best super hero movie/action film, ever. Period. They should have named it "The Amazing Spider-Man" like they said they intended, 'cause this movie is amazing!
Now get up off of your
fat ass and go see the film. Do it, now!
