Politics BastardizedIn a remarkably dramatic turn of events, the former Democratic front runner, Howard Dean, is almost broke.
It is notable that Howard Dean set a record for raising money. Brilliantly, his campaign manager, Joe Trippi, led Howard Dean from out of obscurity with an internet-based campaign that raised a record 41 million dollars.
However, after losing the Iowa caucus and the primary in Missouri, Howard Dean fired his campaign manager, in an attempt to regain the momentum that he, so quickly, lost.
When asked about his sudden move, Howard Dean said, "This is all the fault of George W. Bush. He ruined my campaign just like he ruined the economy. Very soon," he said, "The Democratic party will be bankrupt by George Bush, just like I am."
He followed up by commenting that, if elected, he would be forced to raise taxes to ensure that this sort of "dirty politics" would never succeed again. "It is unfortunate", he said "that the people will have to suffer for this, but you can blame it on George W. Bush".
Asked to comment on Deans sliding poll numbers, Al Gore commented "George Bush is stealing this nomination, just like he did the election."
Former President, Bill Clinton, when asked about Deans chances of regaining his momentum asked "Is he the one with the pretty wife?"
No word was forthcoming from Senator Kerry as he was at a hair salon getting his hair poofed.
