From CNN, today:
GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan (CNN) -- Democratic presidential nominee Sen. John Kerry on Monday accused the Bush administration of doing too little in the fight against terrorism and of instituting policies that encourage "the recruitment of terrorists."
Well, of course they are. With so many of them being blown up, the terrorist groups have to recruit. They are dying and being captured in large numbers, so it stands to reason that they would be recruiting more people.
"We haven't done the work necessary to reach out to other countries," Kerry said. "We haven't done the work necessary with the Muslim world. We haven't done the work necessary to protect our own ports, our chemical facilities, our nuclear facilities.
It is true that we could do more to protect ourselves. But then, every time we try to do something more, some politician or activist cries that it is racism and bigotry driving the policies that will protect the nation from future foreign attacks.
Of course, the people who are in charge of getting laws passed back down because they don't want George Bush to make any gains and, possibly, look good to the nations voters.

On the conspiracy front
I was sort of wondering why the few military personal, who served with John Kerry, and who support him are getting so much press, while those who do not support Kerry have gotten next to none.
Also, why are there so few reports on the economy, since the economy has been in an upswing after there were so many reports when the economy was suffering?
Finally, why doesn't the press report the misleading and false "facts" that are so prevalent in Michael Moore's so-called documentaries?
Nah, the press isn't a bunch of Democratic part lap-dogs. Couldn't be.
