Health Insurance - The Next Government Scam
After hearing some of the proposals by the presidential hopefuls and listening to lots of people gripe and whine at how we need nationalized health care I was wondering - what the hell are they thinking?
First of all, we do not live in a socialist country. We live in a capitalist republic that values free enterprise and individualism over governmental interference. What's more, we already have the most advanced health care in the world. Our doctors and scientist are constantly working on and finding new cures and treatments for those who are afflicted by diseases and other health problems. When people have need of really good healthcare they come to the USA for treatment, not other countries. Granted, we have to pay for it, but we have the best healthcare and the healthiest people in the world, here, in the USA.
So, with that in mind, our politicians and many others want to nationalize healthcare. And, I have to wonder, why in the hell would they want to do that? After all, the government doesn't do anything well. In fact, they generally screw up everything that they do. I can only name one area that they excel in - blowing shit up.
Does anyone remember the hammers that were bought by the military? Weren't they something like $300.00 each? Thats a good price for a hammer - if it's made of gold! And, how about the toilet seats that they bought? Didn't those range around the $600.00 each? Talk about bargain hunters - I sure would like to see the million dollar ass that gets to sit on that toilet.
And, as for the people the government employs...have you been to the post office lately? These are the slowest moving people on the planet. I've seen rocks that moved faster uphill than the people at the post office. And they never get fired unless they shoot someone! Just what we want with our healthcare system - one that moves slow enough that you might die before you get treatment! Nothing like a slow agonizing death - but, you won't have to pay for it!
And what about our current social programs? Wasn't Social Security plundered by Congress? And aren't they talking about it going bankrupt in the not-too-distant future? Ah, just what I want, my healthcare in the hands of the same thieves who plundered social security. Can I write my check to them now?
And, as if that weren't bad enough, government employees get raises on a regular basis. And, when there is a shortage of funds, they still get them. Any other entity that suffers financial setbacks will cut back on employees and suspend raises or cut pay for it's employees. But not the government. These geniuses of fiscal responsibility just keep on giving out raises. And how do they pay for them? By raising our taxes and taking our hard earned money. How, efficient and thoughtful of them.
All this is in the face of our lawmakers and those who support a national healthcare plan and yet, they still want to raise our taxes to support this stupid idea.
No wonder they want to take our guns from us.
