Experts Blame Everyone Else

Good old CNN news…today they had a headline that read "Global obesity not solely U.S. fault". Well, no shit!

A funny thing, though, they say that global obesity is not the fault of the US but that the US may have led the world down the path to disgustingly obesity. But, experts say that there is plenty of blame to go around.

Yeah, how about blaming the mooks who can't say "NO" to a super sized meal or a big assed dinner that should feed several people? How about blaming those mooks who sit around all day and do nothing?

Why in hell do they need to place blame on a nation or a city or anything other than the fat assed slobs who put food into their gullets all day long while sitting in front of a computer screen and having cyber sex?

Here is a suggestion…look in the mirror if you want to find someone to blame because you are a huge cow! What, too reasonable?

Further into the article they quote some idiot named Jim Mann who is a so-called expert of global obesity. This imbecile says, "America has been a contributing cause in what is a very complex disease".

Um, sorry, but since when is being a lard ass a disease? I never hear of a disease that you had to constantly get refilled at your local Hardees. How is pushing food into your big fat face a disease?

That reminds me of all the idiots who call drug abuse and alcoholism a disease. Since when do diseases need a refill from the local liquor mart or a new shot in the arm courtesy of the neighborhood pusher?

Could this be a symptom of how society, these days, is reducing personal responsibility to an uncontrollable phenomenon? Hey - how about we all take responsibility for our own actions, for a change? Nah, too obvious.

Anyhow, the article goes on to say that many obesity experts say that it's hard to know where to place the blame for lard asses. Um, again…how about blaming it on the pigs who eat everything in site? How about blaming it on people who never turned down an order of fries or a Kryspy-Kreme donut?

Another guy, quoted in the article, decided to say that is isn't an American problem but a problem with multi-national corporations on both sides of the globe. Ah, I see, blame it on the big corporations! I don't recall McDonalds ever forcing me to get in line and get a super sized meal, so how is it their fault?

Some other idiot said "Governments haven't done enough to make healthy foods affordable and physical fitness accessible".

The last time that I looked, it was not the responsibility of the government to make certain that carrots are affordable or to provide treadmills for its citizens. But, what the hell do I know?

Finally, the CNN article states "If I were to blame the United States for anything, I think it would be for the power of the food industry to influence government policy of the United States, which has been imposed worldwide."

Hmm, I do not recall a law that requires citizens to super size every meal. I don't recall the law requiring everyone to eat sugar-laden crap!

What I want to know is, why do these so-called experts blame everyone except for the consumer? Why in the hell can't they just stand up and say that if these fat assed dolts would just get up off their asses, exercise a little and stop eating so much garbage that this "epidemic" would go away?

Why can't they just blame the people who are really responsible? Is it really that hard?
