John Kerry: Democrats are Stupid
Continuing the trend, started by Al Gore, the Democratic Party and former presidential candidate, John Kerry, has called their constituents stupid. Funny thing is that their constituents will probably agree with their claims.
Election year 2000: Following the presidential election, Democratic leadership claimed that their votes were not counted and demanded recounts. The reasoning? The butterfly ballots were too confusing and they voted for the wrong guy accidentally.
Results: Registered Democrats agreed with the charges, verifying that they were too stupid to vote in the first place.
Oddity: This was the first time that the butterfly ballots were ever "too difficult" to figure out. Further, only Democrats were too stupid to figure out how to use the butterfly ballots.
Election year 2004: Following the results of the presidential election, Democratic leadership and pundits called Middle America, and everyone who voted for Bush, stupid. Activists cited voter intimidation as the reason Bush won.
And now, several months later, Democratic leadership is calling their constituents stupid.
New Charges: John Kerry and his supporters have charged that Republican supporters duped Democratic voters into not voting.
According to Kerry and company, Democratic voters received leaflets claiming that Republicans were to go to the polls on Tuesday and that Democrats were to go to the polls on Wednesday.
Unsatisfied with that charge, they claimed that Democrats received calls telling them that they were not allowed to vote if they had ever gotten a parking ticket.
So far as I know, there has been no reaction from Democratic constituents to this charge. But, they did admit to being too stupid to cast votes before, it is a cinch they will do so again.
